Mobile Desktop for Windows Phone / RT by nik255 Mobile Desktop for Windows Phone / RT by nik255
This concept should illustrate a solution for people who do not only want to consume media. It is for people, who also want to create it. Both Windows Phone and Windows RT devices are able to challenge this. You only need the presented app "Mobile Desktop",a docking station, an external display, a keyboard and a mouse. This app with an integrated desktop environment allows you to use apps in the X Window mode. You work as if on a standard computer. There is the possibility of using mobile devices as an efficient tool for everyday office work.

I would be very grateful if one or the other could give a feedback. If you like my concept, share it ;) Thanks in advance :)

I like it because it looks nice and modern. It is also nice and small which adds to the creativity.

This would be really cool and with the upcoming atom SOC, like the year away bay trail it could be very possible.
Have you seen Ubuntu on android very similar principal.

Yep, I know about Ubuntu on Android. I believe that it’s an approach with great potential for the future. That’s why I hope that Microsoft releases such a solution for Windows (Phone/RT) very soon. It would enhance the current platform significantly.

with windows 8 to go or whatever where its on a usb its only a very small step to move it on to a windows phone.
I was personally hoping that RT would be on the phone itself but alas.
